About Our College

श्रीचन्द उदासीन महाविद्यालय

भगवान बुद्ध एवं महावीर की तपोभूमि से शिक्षा का आलोक उस समय तिरोहित हो गया जब विश्व प्रसिद्ध नालन्दा विश्वविद्यालय धूल में मिल गया। बहुत दिनों तक पूरा प्रक्षेत्र तिमिराच्छादित रहा। अज्ञानता एवं पिछडे़पन के गहन तिमिर को छिन्न-भिन्न करने के लिए वत्र्तमान शताब्दी में इस प्रक्षेत्र में कुछ प्रकाश स्तंभ खड़े हुए।

श्रीचन्द्र उदासीन महाविद्यालय, हिलसा, नालन्दा कॉलेज, बिहार शरीफ के बाद निर्मित दूसरा प्रकाश स्तंभ है जिसने नालन्दा प्रक्षेत्र के अज्ञान के अंधकार को दूर करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है। ऐतिहासिक स्थल हिलसा में श्रीचन्द उदासीन महाविद्यालय की स्थापना सन् 1955 में परम् पूज्य बाबा विष्णु प्रकाश उदासीन उर्फ झक्कड़ बाबा ने की, जिनकी कुटिया आज भी महाविद्यालय के समीप अवस्थित है। बाबा उदासीन समप्रदाय के एक संत थे। बाबा के इस अथक प्रयास में उनके भक्त श्री अनंग विजय मित्र (अधिवक्ता), जमशेदपुर निवासी के अमूल्य योगदान को भुलाया नहीं जा सकता है। सन् 1957 में इस महाविद्यालय में कई प्रमुख कला विषयों में इंटर स्तर तक सम्बद्धता प्राप्त हुई। पुनः 1959 में बी0 ए0 स्तर तक की सम्बद्धता प्राप्त हुई। 1964 में इस महाविद्यालय में स्नातक स्तर तक विज्ञान की पढ़ाई प्रारंभ हो गई। समयानुसार पास एवं प्रतिष्ठा की भी पढ़ाई प्रारंभ हो गई। 1976 में यह महाविद्यालय मगध विश्वविद्यालय की एक अंगीभूत इकाई बन गयी l मार्च 2018 में पाटलिपुत्र विष्वविद्यालय, पटना के स्थापना होने के समय से यह महाविद्यालय पाटलिपुत्र, पटना का एक अंगीभूत इकाई है।

This institution is a prestigious centre of learning situated in the historic land of Nalanda, where education is not confined merely to bookish knowledge but is connected with human values and social responsibility. Our aim is to nurture citizens who are not only successful in their respective fields but also make meaningful contributions to the development of society and the nation.
